July too was, as June, so, so warm and sunny. I either read or heard it was the warmest ever. So when it dropped from the about 29-33 Celsius we had for weeks, the about 20 which is more normal here, now actually feels cold. Here are some July photos. Summer is officially here. Today June 2nd plus 25 degrees Celsius. Lets enjoy it !

In the middle of April we had some warm and sunny days. But, for the last three weeks it has been cold. I really hope the forecast for next week will be, as it says, temperatures about 19-20 degrees Celsius. Here are some photos of spring flowers and birds taken in April.

No matter how much I loved the winter, which was so nice and beautiful, I am so happy the spring is here. Not much snow anymore. The days are longer. I have seen the first spring flowers in bloom.
I was in Helsinki on Wednesday. It was a nice surprise to see these beautiful dahlias still in bloom. My dahlias have no flowers anymore. I will move them into the garage for the winter.
About two weeks ago we were, once again, visiting my childhood friend. She has a huge flower garden. She has the flowers planted by color and so that there is flowers in bloom from early spring into late fall. This was the first time I was able to see the Globe Blue Thistle (Echinops Ritro) in bloom. The blooming is almost over. The flowers already fading in color, turning into light blue/gray. Luckily there were still a few rich in blue color. While I was busy photographing she had been busy digging up some plants she gave to me. Thank you so much dear friend. I have planted them and am so much looking forward to next spring and summer to see them blooming. Well, I hope they survive the winter.
On the way back to the car last Saturday after taking photos of the Lamp Holder Men at the entrance of the Central Railway Station I shot snap shots of flowers in huge flower pots. The flowers in the jeans pots were outside a restaurant near where we had parked the car.
