Turned 70 on January 18 ! Can’t believe it. Seventy ! S-e-v-e-n-t-y ! SEVENTY ! Most of the time I forget I even turned 50 😀 ~ 2017 = 71 😉
Retired since spring 2008. Married to the same guy, his name is Leif, since 1967. We live in the south of Finland. I love animals. We have one dog. His name is Canelo. We always have had cats. Most of the time two at the same time. At present we have no cats. Our two last ones were only six months of age difference and also left us with only six months apart. The other one in November 2015 and the other in April 2016. It was so, so sad. Wonderful 12 and 13 years of joy and happiness.
So pleased and happy to have a cat again. He came into our lives in August 2016. His name is Jacky ❤
Our home. We moved here in April 1990. Compared to today’s standards it is a very small house. For about 11 years it looked pretty much the same as in this picture.
I was happy to today (27.3.2019) find some old diskettes I thought I’d never see again. Unfortunately there still are some not yet found.
Here’s an other winter picture. Looks very different now. You are not able to see very much of the house anymore because of the hawthorn “fence”, our camper and the garage.
Nice blog 😊😘
Thank you Luciana Mariano for visiting and for the comment 🙂
My pleasure!
You are young man. I am 73. 🙂
Actually already 71 🙂 Must update the age 😀
Good to find you in your Finnish home. What does the house look like without snow! Our pets are so important and cats can live a long life, we lost our Tigger at 17 years as the family cat. Now I am petless by choice as travel between Spain and U.K. too much!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I will look for a picture of the house in summer. Pets are so important. Two of our cats lived long lives. The other one to be 21 and the other 18,5.
Lovely house, beautiful scenery! 🙂
Thank you so much Jaana R. 🙂
Are you from Finland originally?
Hi Nadia, thank you for visiting. Yes I’m Finnish. Born and lived here all my life. You really have been living in so many different, interesting places. Wow 🙂
I also wondered if you were Finnish because your English is perfect!
Thank you. I know I make many mistakes when I speak/write English. So that is why I say I speak Finglish/Swenglish :;

Yess…..
Glad to have you back Alice. Have been checking your site every once in a while and been a little disappointed when there’s been no updates for quite some time. I almost got worried that something had happened but know I’m so glad to see your fine. I love to read about your animals and just love your pictures. Your stories cheer me up and I hope you and your family a beautiful fall. We unfortunately lost Joiku just a week back in the age of 14.
Sirpa what a pleasant surprice to receive a comment from you. You really made my day by sending such a nice comment. Guess what . . . I’v actually been looking for you on Facebook but couldn’t find you there. So sad to hear about Joiku but in the age of 14 I think he has it better now right where he is. I’v been a lazy blogger for some time but hope to get back to updating my blog more frequently from now on. Bye for now, take care Sirpa 🙂
