July too was, as June, so, so warm and sunny. I either read or heard it was the warmest ever. So when it dropped from the about 29-33 Celsius we had for weeks, the about 20 which is more normal here, now actually feels cold. Here are some July photos. Summer is officially here. Today June 2nd plus 25 degrees Celsius. Lets enjoy it !
More photos of the orange lilies and orange pollen free lilies. The sun really makes them glow and shine.
Some years ago there was plenty of these orange lilies in the flower bed. I am so pleased to find there still are two stems of them. Both with several flowers. I think it was a mistake to a few years ago plant the two small bushes of ‘Ölandstok’ / Dasiphora fruticosa in the same bed. They have grown and take a lot of the space. I am going to move them to an other place. My husband says it is a bad idea. That they probably will not survive the move. I hope they will. Because I have found, in my opinion, a much better place for them.
The pollen free lilies one more time.
My orange pollen free lilies are the first of my lilies to bloom. In fact they are the only pollen free I have. I now am awaiting for four others to bloom too. The Strawberry Candy Lily, so far, has no buds. I really hope I soon will be able to see some. Last year it looked like the Catherine Woodberry was gone. But, this summer, in the same place where it was, is a new plant. I’m so much looking forward to see if it is the Woodberry. Then there are two others that I don’t know the names of. The other one had one flower last year. A very beautiful one in yellow and a dark color which looked almost black. It will be interesting to see what the fourth one will look like.
