It’s spring !

Yes, it’s spring. It’s warm, plus 12 degrees Celsius today. There still is a little snow here and there. Also there still is a thin layer of ice on the lake except for a small area in the southern end of it. The swans like to stay there. I know many already have seen the the Liverleaf in bloom. I saw my first ones today.Swan IMG_7260CSawn IMG_7248CLiverleaf 20190403_143524_HDRC

Swan Pair & Liverleaf In White

Earlier in the spring there were many more swans here. I was able to spot several couples. Some staying on this side of the lake and others on the other side. These two are the only ones staying here now. All the others have moved northwards, I think.

On Thursday we visited my childhood friend. She told me she’s got liverleaf in white and asked me have I ever seen white ones. Yes, I said. Remember, we together found them in the woods. We probably were about 11 years old. Gosh, time flies, that was 60 years ago. I was happy to see them once again as I haven’t seen a single one since that first time. Before we left she gave me two plants. Thumbs up that they will like it here and multiply.

Liverleaf (Anemone hepatica)

Liverleaf, blĂ„sippa, sinivuokko IMG_3174CLiverleaf, blĂ„sippa, sinivuokko Yesterday on the way back home from the evening walk I saw the first liverleaf in bloom. Soon there will be plenty of them. They will cover the ground and turn it into a blue carpet. Unfortunately I was able to take only one photo before my camera informed it run out of charge. I forgot to charge it last night. I took an other camera with me this morning. So on the way back from the dentist I went to take some more photos. Oh no ! Again, one photo and also this camera run out of charge. Well, I am charging them now 😀
