Clivia orange IMG_4846CClivia orange IMG_4848C Clivia orange IMG_4837CI was pleasantly surprised, to in the beginning of last week, to notice my Clivia is going to bloom again.  I didn’t expect it to bloom again this quick. Only about two months since last time. I don’t know it is now the wrong time of the year for it to bloom or the wright. Justhappy and enjoying it’s colorful flowers.

“Clivia”

Last Thursday when we were at Lidl (the German discount supermarket chain) I saw Clivias. They were one of my mother’s and her sister’s favorite flowers.  Of course I had to buy one.

I looked up about Clivias on Wikipedia. This is what it says: “Clivia miniata (I think mine is a C. miniata) is a species of flowering plant in the genus Clivia of the family Amaryllidaceae, native to damp woodland habitats in South Africa as well as in Swaziland. It is also reportedly naturalized in Mexico.”

My plant is small one. So far only one flower stem. Hopefully it will last for more than just a week or two. I hope it will Clivia OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAget many more stems with flowers.  We’ll have to wait and see.
