Korkeasaari Helsinki Zoo

We saw a clip of the three amur leopard cat with her kittens on the news about a month ago. We right away decided to visit the zoo. On Saturday we went there. The main attraction was the three kittens Maia, Mesi and Murmur. Wow, how lucky we were. The kittens were awake and playing with each other. They are now two months old and absolutely adorable. Unfortunately my phots of the kittens are no good.

Below random snap shots.

My Cat Jacky

Autumn at it’s best. Warm, sunny days. About 15-18 degrees. Blue skies. Here are some photos from the last few days. The dahlia ”Fire and Ice” is still in bloom. A yellow autumn hawkbit and the rose nip. Plus two photos of our cat Jacky. He is eating grass.

Hyvinkää/Hyvinge New Church

On the way to friends in Hämeenlinna on Tuesday, we stopped in Hyvinkää, which is in the same direction. We had some errands to take care of. We don’t go to Hyvinkää very often and have not been there for about the last two-three years. This time we happened to park the car practically out side the church. The church was built in 1961. The Pyramid-like Church always looks beautiful all year round. But, photos taken on sunny winter days with blue skies are my absolute favorite ones. Also on Tuesday it was sunny and blue skies. A perfect opportunity to take some photos.

Old and New Church

On Saturday 5th we, once again, visited my childhood friend. On the way home I suggested a stop at the churches in Sipoo/Sibbo. I have wanted to photograph them already for a long time. The old grey stone church was built in the 1450s and the new one was built in 1883-1885. We have been inside the new church when our friends were married there about 50 years ago.

Oh dear ! Nothing is like before. It really took me awhile to figure out how to do it 😉
