The Helsinki Herring Market is an week long yearly event held in the beginning of October. We don’t visit it every year. But, as it was such a beautiful sunny warm fall day yesterday we decided to go. We arrived about 1:00 pm. There was a fog approaching quickly. It was impossible to see the nearby islands. As walking from the parking to the market place we saw more and more of the islands disappear into the fog. In 30 minutes it was almost impossible to see the ferries in the south harbour. Something I don’t see happen, very often, in the middle of a sunny day. I forgot all about the herring market. I only concentrated on the fog.
Love the misty pictures, seems so mysterious! We had quite a lot of misty/foggy days lately, don’t you think?
I wish I had been up on the Allas Sea Pool’s terrace for maybe even more interesting misty/foggy pictures. Yes, it’s been misty/foggy here too lately. Especially yesterday. We hardly were able too see the neighbor’s house which is only about 50 m away.
