Surprise Wedding
We were invited to a birthday party yesterday which actually was a matrimonial celebration. WOW ! The wedding ceremony was beautiful, emotional and lovely. Congratulations ❤
Carrot Soup
Second time this week I made soup. On Monday it was Zucchini soup. Yesterday carrot soup. Or should I say carrot yellow pepper soup. The recipe said just carrots but as I happened to have yellow peppers in the fridge I added one. Yummy 🙂
Daylily Strawberry Candy
Of my four different daylilies this Strawberry Candy is the only one to bloom this year. There is four stems. About 5-7 buds on each. It has been, and still is, so very warm. I have watered the plants every day but despite that I can see the leaves are turning yellow and many buds look very dry. Maybe I have given them too much water. I really hope there will be more of them than just one flower. Thumbs up 🙂
Run mouse run
Last night I woke to strange sounds coming from the living room. I told my husband “I think Jacky’s got a mouse. YOU go see what you can do !” He came back and said “It’s a mouse and I couldn’t get it”. Maybe it’s gone in the morning.” It was not ! Jacky found it under the bed. I told him to take it out, t a k e i t o u t. Which he did. I looked out the window. There they were. Lying in the grass staring at each other. The mouse shivering in horror. I grabbed my phone to get some photos. Then went back in. A few minutes later I was not able to see neither of them. I felt bad for the mouse and kind of wanted things to end well for him but, on the other hand I wish Jacky took care of him so he won’t come back next night.
Very Warm . . .
With temperatures of about 30 Celsius I avoid going outdoors. I step out into the garden to water the plants and to see if there are any new flowers in bloom. The dahlias and the other one of the begonias are in bloom. On Sunday there was a butterfly on the top of some bushes in bloom. The bushes are tall and the butterfly kept staying high up on the top. I needed a chair the get into position to take some photos. It was a bit wobbly so I had to step down. Also the phlox is in bloom. Almost two weeks earlier than last year. On Monday on the way back home from the supermarket we stopped by the lake. Unfortunately there is a lot of algae. It’s such a pity because you can’t let your dog have a refreshing swim. Yesterday I made zucchini soup which I like but my husband doesn’t 😉 I wish it would not be this warm for too long anymore. There are a couple of events, in the near future, we have planned to attend. I’m afraid I will not be able to go if it’s still 30 C 😦
From the Pandas to the”Kyläkauppa”
After we had had the good luck to see the other of the pandas awake we decided to drive by the largest department store, Kyläkauppa, in Finland. We were there in end of June 2007. The facade the looked different. It was in light yellow and white. The new Facade is in blue and yellow or should I say blue and gold. There is a RV park, a lot of fun things to do for kids and an amusement park plus much more. It has been so warm here. Also last Wednesday it was. We had the air conditioner on all the time. That’s probably why I got a terrible flue.
@ Ähtäri Snow Panda House (11 photos and 1 video clip)
The pandas, named Lumi and Pyry, arrived Finland in the beginning of this year. Yesterday we went to Ähtäri where they live. It was a long drive. Back and forth 704 km. The pandas were sleeping when we arrived. There was a lot of people. Everyone waiting for them to wake up. I heard a mom tell her two young daughters, who had got tired of waiting, to stop complaining. She said we will stay here and and wait for as long as it takes because we have paid a lot of money for this. Exactly what I had told my husband when he a few minutes earlier had wanted to give up waiting 😀 Then, suddenly, the other one, Pyry, woke and went out doors. Everyone hurried outdoors. Pyry knew there was hidden treats. He climbed the climbing frame up and down and found several of them. Aren’t you happy we stayed I asked my husband. Of course he said, I told you we shouldwait, didn’t I. Hah-hah-haa, so typical of him. I didn’t want to correct him and tell him which one of us said to wait 😉
