I’m not sure do the flying ants appear here every summer. When they do they always disappear as quickly as they appear, usually this time of the year. On Tuesday there was many and the sparrows were so excited that they hardly noticed us being there too. They ate and ate. In the evening there were no more ants with wings.

wow, stunning pictures, especially the second and third one! i’m glad i haven’t seen any flying ants around our place. but i have seen many sparrows, maybe that’s the reason. 😀
Thank you. Could be the reason why you haven’t see any 🙂 I think these sparrows are the “babies” under the garage roof earlier. Because they seem not be too afraid when we are outdoors.
