Look, also this year I made Runberg’s tarts ! Because today we celebrate the birth of the national poet J. L. Runeberg.
Hmm, I think I should have let them stay a few more minutes in the oven.

So pretty and delicious!!
Thank you so much Sumith 🙂 I must have been tired not to notice the picture looks gray and gloomy. The colors are no good.
happy Runeberg’s day! once again i debated with myself whether to make these or laskiaispulla… and once again laskiaispulla won. 😀 LOL. hope your tarts were good anyway even when you thought you should’ve put them in the oven for a longer time? my buns weren’t as successful as last year’s because i just realized too late that the yeast has passed its best before date and therefore didn’t rise. :p
I feel I have to make them because I, some years ago, bought the silicone baking mold which is only for these tarts or so I think 😀 My laskiaspullat this year are going to be a bit different from the traditional ones. I hope they will turn out well. We’ll see 😉
They look so delicious and the dish is pretty too 🙂
Thank you Laura 🙂 I too find it beautiful. It was my mother in law’s. It already was there when I came into the family 50 years ago. I’m pleased we now have the entire set.
