Meringue Roses

Meringue RosesMeringue RosesMeringue RosesMeringue Roses Finally I managed to make meringues that were not chewy, too dark, or went into a thousand pieces as soon as you touched them 🙂 The meringue was perfect but the roses did not look like the roses in the Pirkka magazine. Check who photobombed my last two pictures 😉 Good he didn’t touch them 😀 I need to stop baking. Bad for my weight 😦

Blueberry Muffins

Blueberry MuffinsBlueberry MuffinsI still do have plenty of blueberries in the freezer. Last fall many of our wonderful friends brought us blueberries they picked themselves. I saw a blogger, I follow, had made blueberry muffins which inspired me to immediately go make some 🙂 I dusted them with powdered icing sugar but because the berries on top were frozen they quickly melted and so did the sugar.

Jacky

Jacky our cat

Last Sunday when I was photographing the Runeberg tarts Jacky was a bit too eager about what was going on. He almost had the backgrounds fall on them. I had to put him in the bedroom until I finished. As soon as I was done I opened the door and let him hop up. He immediately laid down and was ever so happy to finally get to do what he wanted. Of course I took a couple of pics of him too.
