WOW ! I was thrilled in the morning to see five flowers in bloom. This is the first time there are more than two flowers in bloom on the same day. Of course it was a must take photos. So, if the number of flowers is five or less per day for the next days there will be no more pictures this summer 😉

Strawberry Candy Daylily
Dahlia 10 years
Congrats my beautiful Dahlia in a pot 10 years !
Lettuce Shark Caterpillar
Or that’s what I think it is. I looked up for pictures to match my caterpillar and the lettuce shark one is closest to look like mine. If I’m right about that it is a lettuce shark then this colorful, beautiful thing is going to turn into a quite big, gray moth
I love caterpillars and wish I could see more of them unfortunately it doesn’t happen that often. Third time I have been able to spot this one. In 2005, 2015 and now 🙂
This pictures is not a good one. I didn’t realize until at back home it was so blurry. I went back next morning hoping he’d still be there and I’d get a better shot but nope he was gone.
Kitten
We are going to have a kitty ! After Quam and Quismo left us for the cat heaven I was grieving and sad for a long time. Now I feel time is right for a new family member. Please meet Jacky. In the grass only about 3-4 weeks in the basket 6-7 weeks old. So cute and adorable. In the end of August he will be about 12 weeks and ready to move to us. I’m so excited.
Summer Coat
Canelo needed a summer coat. We took him to a professional groomer today. Expensive but so much faster than me clipping with scissors which usually take days and is so bad for my back. It is the fifth time he was at a groomer. This time at Musti and Mirri Dogroom. We are pleased with the trimming and will go there again.
New Flowers
The beautiful, huge white one we got from our goddaughter and her children when they were here last Friday. Yesterday our Hämeenlinna friends were here and they brought the exotic, pollen free orange lily. Thank you all so much !
Summer Party
Yesterday we were at a summer party arranged by a cousin of mine. Garden party would have been lovely but as soon as everyone arrived it started to rain. We were about 20 persons. I met people I had not seen in a long time and also some I had not seen before at all. A classmate of mine recognized me but whom I couldn’t remember. Total black out. Embarrassing ! Then, on the way back home I suddenly remembered. Typical !
Such a nice afternoon. Loved it. Thank you for having us.
Snapshots
Snapshots from Saturday 2nd old fire trucks event.
There were so many visitors in town because of the fire trucks event so it was almost impossible to find somewhere to park the camper. Looking for one we at some point got a bit lost and found ourselves up here. The view was beautiful but the street was so narrow I got scared we got trapped. It was impossible to turn back so we had to either make a sharp turn left or reverse. We chose the left turn and eventually found a place to park.
The residents are lucky to have such a nice beach practically right in the center of the town.
Walking through the park to the exhibition I said look, someone came on a pink/purple bike to the miniature golf course. But no, it’s a piece of art, I guess. I would have loved to put some flowers in the booths.
I heard someone say the birds looking down from the branch are Jackdaw chicks. They sat there for a long time watching and chit chatting. I imagine the other one saying to the other. Look, fries, sausages, wheat buns. Yummy ! Sooner or later someone is going to drop something to the ground then we take it.
Tree mushroom ! I think it looks more like a sea shell or coral. Interesting.
Volunteer Firefighters
Regarding old fire trucks. Here is an old photo of the volunteer firefighters in my village from the early/mid 50’s. I took the picture from a photo in March when I met my cousins. I remember the men and boys but not their names except from my uncle and my brother. Back then I thought the fire truck was huge 🙂
