Raseborg Castle Ruins

Yesterday we visited The Raseborg Castle Ruins. Something we had planned to do I don’t know for how many years. It’s about some 85-87 kilometers from us. It was a nice sunny day. The brochure I took says: “The castle dates back to 1378 and is located on a high cliff because the castle was more or less surrounded by water. In front of the castle is today a meadow, suitable for the annual midsummer party and other summer events.” It was interesting. I regret I didn’t climb the stairs all the way up to have a look at the view. Next time I will. Suddenly there were some very dark clouds in the sky so we hurried to the cafeteria. We made it there just in time before the first drops. Then there was the downpour ! We had forgot the umbrellas in the camper. Luckily it rained only for about 15 minutes so by the time we had finished our “lunch” the sun was shining again.

I wish I had visited it already long before. I do recommend visiting. No, we did not stay the night in the camper just testing it was OK for the next trip. The Verla trip. Neither did we stay the night in Verla but took the camper as it was more comfortable for five persons and one dog 🙂
