Cherry Blossom

Last spring we visited the Cherry Tree Park in Roihuvuori where are about 150 trees. I’m not sure about the number of threes as I have found different numbers but there are many. Next Sunday there is held and event Hanami festival. We probably will go there.

Today I saw the most wonderful cherry tree in Konala not far away from us. Compared to this one the ones in the park in Roihuvuori still are babies. They need many more years to grow this size.

The two above pictures were shot in the morning about 9 am and the three below in the afternoon at about 3:30 pm.

Wood Anemone

I spotted the first brave wood anemone  about three weeks ago. It was still quite cold, even snowing at some point. May brought the sun and warm weather and they all popped up into carpets of white and green. Beautiful.

A Street Cat Named Bob

I guess many of you already both have heard and read about James Bowen and his cat Bob. I learned about them from a Facebook friend of mine who wrote on her wall about how much she loved the book A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen about him and his cat. I immediately reserved the book from the library. Soon after I googled for more about them and found out there were at least two more books. I was happy to be able to reserve them as well. That was about three weeks ago. Last week I received a message that they were ready to be picked up. I now have finished reading all three of them. I, as my friend, loved the book (s). So glad things turned out for the better for them. So much looking forward to the film coming up soon.
