Tall Ships Races Helsinki 2013’s Parade of Sail

What a lovely memorable event The Tall Ships Races has been. The Parade of Sail today was absolutely fantastic. The weather was great. It was a most enjoyable time to, for about four hours, watch the ships, ship by ship, slowly float by heading for their next destination Riga in Latvia.

So many stunning ships. The Mexican ship Cuauhtemoc, one of the last ones to leave, made people gasp for their breath. About 60 sailors stood up onto the yards singing mexican shanties. It was mighty. I didn’t get to see any ships in full sail but I’m fully satisfied with everything I experienced during these three days.

Here are some pictures from today. The pictures are in no particular order.
